Stoddart Named SupplementSource.ca Female Student-Athlete of the Month

(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today, that Women’s Golf student-athlete Alyssa Stoddart (Orangeville, ON) has been named the SupplementSource.ca Fanshawe Female Student-Athlete of the Month for October.

At the OCAA Provincial Golf Championships at FireRock Golf Club from October 1-3, Stoddart made Fanshawe Women’s Golf history. She brought home both the Women’s Individual title and led the Falcons to a Women’s Team championship, neither of which had ever never been done before. She also set a new Fanshawe record for best three day score, shooting 246, six strokes ahead of second place. Stoddart was named to the OCAA All-Ontario Team and an All-Canadian.

Stoddart continued her stellar month with a third place finish at the CCAA National Golf Championships. The tournament was held at the Desert Blume Golf Club in Medicine Hat, Alberta from October 16-19. Stoddart once again made history, bringing home Fanshawe’s first ever National Golf medal. She set another new Fanshawe record for best score, as she shot plus-17 over the four day tournament, including an impressive 3-under par 69 on day three. Stoddart was named a CCAA Tournament All-Star for her bronze medal performance.

Stoddart is enrolled in the Golf and Club Management program and will receive a SupplementSource.ca health and wellness package for her accomplishments.

White Named SupplementSource.ca Male Student-Athlete of the Month

(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe Athletics announced today, that Men’s Golf student-athlete Braydon White (Barrie, ON) has been named the SupplementSource.ca Fanshawe Male Student-Athlete of the Month for October.

White was crowned the OCAA Men’s Golf Individual Champion after the three-day OCAA tournament. The event was held at FireRock Golf Club from October 1-3. White set a Fanshawe Golf record, shooting even par (213) over the three days in less than perfect weather conditions. He also finished six strokes ahead of his closest competitor. White’s individual gold was the first time a Fanshawe golfer had accomplished the feat in 43 years (Alex Bober, 1975). He also led the Fanshawe Men’s team to an OCAA silver medal. White was named to the OCAA All-Ontario Team and a CCAA All-Canadian.

White is enrolled in the Marketing Management program and will receive a SupplementSource.ca health and wellness package for his accomplishments.
