Million Dollar Hole-In-One Raises Money For Childcan

Following today’s third round at the Freedom 55 Financial Championship at Highland Country Club, the 15 finalists in the BDO Million Dollar Shootout competed for prizes while raising money for tournament charity Childcan.

Here’s our previous story on how the 15 qualified – click here.

Today, from 70 yards below hole No. 9, three competitors qualified for a chance at $1 million – $500,000 for the participant, $500,000 for Childcan.

Closet to the pin at No. 9 were Londoners Jamie Bacon, Scott Fisher and Rob Mailing. Bacon’s shot was closet to the pin. He won a European cruise for two.

The trio then headed to Highland’s hole No. 10 for a 172-yard shot – one each – for a chance at the big prize. No one aced the club’s signature hole.

The BDO Million Dollar Shootout was a host club initiative which the Highland committee will build upon in future years.
