Thomas Code of the Fanshawe Falcons golf team has been recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) for his accomplishments during the seven-day period ending on Sunday, October 6

Code is one of six athletes named by the OCAA as one of its star athletes.

Code, a Dorchester resident and member of Highland Country Club, is a fourth-year player with the Falcons studying Commerce Management. He was the men’s individual gold medalist at the recent OCAA golf championships, and led Fanshawe to a team silver medal.

In winning gold, Code set Fanshawe golf records for best one-day (65), two-day (137) and three-day (209) scores. He was also the only OCAA golfer to shoot under par for the tournament, and finished three strokes ahead of the silver medalist.

Code was named a CCAA All-Canadian and member of the OCAA All-Ontario Team. He’ll compete for a national championship at the Continental Golf Club in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec Oct. 14-18, hosted by Cégep André-Laurendeau.
