Announcing 2019 Best Of London Golf Awards

7th Annual Best of London Golf Awards Draw More Than 6,000 Votes

Jan. 7, 2019 (London, ONT) – (est. 2004) today announces the winners of the 2019 Best of London Golf Awards, as selected by our readers.

The 7th Annual Best of London Golf Awards drew a record 6,066 votes representing golf courses, practice facilities, golf professionals, golf retailers and tournaments from the city of London, as well as Elgin and Middlesex counties.

“The Best of London Golf Awards offer a fun way to recognize 18 winners in 18 categories, and allow each of the winners the opportunity to market themselves as the best in their field as voted by our readers,” said Publisher and Editor Jeffrey Reed. “This year, we have multiple winners, new winners, as well as repeat winners from our six previous Best of London Golf Awards.”

The 7th Annual awards include a new winner in the Best Par-3 category: the picturesque 171-yard par-3 No. 12 at semi-private Echo Valley Golf Club (est. 1971). An accurate tee shot over a ravine and through a chute onto a challenging green makes this hole a readers’ favourite for 2019.

Other first-time winners include Sunningdale Golf and Country Club’s Mark Elliott, voted Best Golf Instructor; and Peace of Mind Charity Golf Tournament at FireRock Golf Club, Komoka, supporting children’s mental health.

There are three multiple winners this year. Pine Knot Golf and Country Club in Dorchester claims Favourite Public or Semi-Private Golf course, and Golf Course Offering Best Food and Beverage. London Hunt and Country Club wins in the categories of Private London, Area Golf Course You Would Like to Play, as well as Most Beautiful/Scenic Hole (par-5 No. 10). And The Bluffs Golf Club in Port Stanley wins Best Short Course 9 or 12 Holes, plus Most Improved Golf Course.

“Since 2004, has been the voice of golf in London and Southwestern Ontario. The Best of London Golf Awards give our readers an opportunity to recognize their favourites. London and area golfers are passionate about the game, and demand the very best golf amenities. Each of our winners should take great pride in the fact they were chosen as 2019 winners,” Reed said.

Each of this year’s winners will be recognized in multiple ways throughout 2019: online at and sister publication; and at the awards banquet in June 2019. Each of this year’s winners are now able to use the 2019 Best of London Golf Awards logo in their print, online and on-course marketing. Our new logo was designed by London-based graphic designer Rachelle Van Oosterhout.
