Jasmine Ly Tops the leaderboard after the 3rd round of the Investors Group Ontario Junior Girls’ (U19) Championship.

The 3rd Round of the Investors Group Ontario Junior Girls’ (U19) Championship took place today with Jasmine Ly topping the leaderboard at the end of the round.  She started out the front nine at par with two birdies and a double bogey (35) and finished out the back nine two over (37) with three bogeys and a birdie.

Ly placed well on the leaderboard over the past two days, but her 74 today helped her finish the round on top after the third day of the championship.  Yesterday’s leader Sarah Beqaj scored a 78 today on the course, after her course record yesterday, 67.  Taylor Kehoe scored a 76 today which held her place in the top three.

The final round of the championship starts tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m., and there is lots of room for movement during the round tomorrow.

The Investors Group Ontario Junior Girls’ Championship is contested annually and features Ontario’s best amateur female golfers age 18 and under. Established in 1927, The event has a wealth of notable past champions including World Golf Hall of Fame member Marlene Streit, Sandra Post, Sue Hilton, Alena Sharp, Jennifer Kirby and Brooke Henderson.
