Tomorrow, the Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada will officially announce a name change to its season-ending championship at London’s Highland Country Club, and also a name change to its Canadian player of the year award.

With Great-West consolidating its life insurance companies, it is expected that Canada Life will attach its name to the Highland tournament, and to the Canadian player of the year award presenting the Dan Halldorson Trophy.

Both Highland and Freedom 55 Financial have inked deals with the Mackenzie Tour running through 2020.

This is the fifth year for the event at Highland, after two years at London’s Sunningdale Golf and Country Club in 2013-14.
