Equipment Accessory Review:
Bag Boy Express 180 Three-Wheel Push Cart
by Jeffrey Reed

Three-wheel push carts are ideal for any golfer who has experienced the aches and pains of carrying a bag 18 holes during the dog days of August. In fact, anyone can benefit from the three-wheeled push cart variety, designed to alleviate stress from the back and shoulders.

I’ve used a Bag Boy push cart for two seasons. The company’s latest offering – the Express 180 Three-Wheel Push Cart – is a real winner. Sturdy yet lightweight, easily stored in your car trunk, or during the Canadian winter, and a bargain at $229, The Express 180 will certainly log a lot of miles for me this upcoming season.

Listen, when you play 100 rounds during the year, it’s important to enlist all the physical help you can get. Short of bribing my better half to loop for me, the Bag Boy company is my constant companion on the links. Pushing a cart is definitely the way to go – even easier than carrying a lightweight stand bag. It’s important, then, to take a closer look at the Express 180.

First of all, the Bag Boy Express 180 is a cinch to assemble. In less than five minutes, it was ready to roll. I really like the 180E ultra-compact quick-fold front wheel, which folds out of the way for easy storage. The two 12-in. non-flat rear wheels also snap in quickly, and boast steel ball bearing design – all wheels are rust proof aluminum. The unit is made of ultra lightweight tubing, too. And, no tools are needed for assembly.

Other features of the Express 180 cart are: A sure-grip ergonomically-shaped handle; a multi-adjustable handle; deluxe scorecard holder with storage compartment; quick release velcro bag straps; strong support cable with metal fittings; a convenient hand-activated parking brake (great feature – no more tripping over foot brakes); and even a built-in beverage holder, plus umbrella holder.

The only thing the Express 180 Three Wheel Push Cart from Bag Boy doesn’t do is read the greens for you. It’s available in black, red, navy, silver and white. To learn more about this multi-functional push cart, visit www.bagboycompany.com.
