FALL 2012 NEWSLETTER – UPCOMING EVENTS

The 2012 Golf Season is still going strong and the course is in plush condition. The fairways are green, the rough is thick, and the greens are quick. With the fall season comes a full calendar of club events.

Congratulations To Our Club Champions! The club championships were held September 1st and 2nd and we are proud to announce our winners

Mens Champion – Chris Charron
Ladies Champion – Lee Nadeau
Junior Champion – Daniel Ivanowski
Senior Champion – Jack Chivers
Super Senior Champion – George Webb

The Men’s League has but a few weeks left in it and the standings are still very close. Our final closing event will be on Saturday October 13th and promises to be a great day. The format will be a 4 man scramble with a shotgun start at noon. Feel free to bring a guest or a friend and let them experience the fun they could have by joining the league next year. Cost for Club Members is $40.00, Mens League Members $50.00 and $65.00  for guests and includes, a warm up bucket of balls, 18 holes, power cart, lunch, dinner, and prizes. The Ladies’ League started May 1st and is still going strong. Along with great golf and different fun formats this year the ladies enjoyed some great socializing and delicious meals  made by the league cook Heather. Their final day of the league play and year end banquet will be October 9th. Please see Connie for all details and thank you to all our ladies. We look forward to next year and making the ladies even bigger and better.

The Seniors’ League started May 9 and has been very strong all year with various formats being used with fun being the emphasis of the league. Their final day and year end banquet will be held September 19th and will begin at 1:00 PM. Please sign up in the Pro Shop.Thank you to all those who played in and made the league a success again this year.

The Old Tom Morris Cup is quickly approaching.Our team is in place and ready for Sunday September 23rd match vs. Tarandowah. Good Luck to our team ! 

The Superintendents’ Cup is set for Friday September 28th against Caradoc Sands and will be played here at The Fox. The event will be a scramble match play and for $35.00 includes 18 holes of golf, power cart, lunch and dinner. Spots are still available, please sign up in the Pro Shop.

Ryder Cup Weekend at The Fox Join us on Sunday September 30 live on the big screens as once again Europe does battle with the USA. We will be hosting a Ryder Cup style event that day. It will be a 2 person scramble with tee off at 8:00 a.m., 18 holes of golf, power cart, a lunch banquet at 1 PM, and cash prizes plus for the lowest Fox Member a special prize on their 2013 membership . Cost for members is $35.00, League Players $50.00 and Public/Guests $60. Sign up in the Pro Shop.

Patrick’s Cross Country – Join us as our Superintendent Patrick Brennan extracts a little revenge in the course set-up. Cross Country Golf is a course of it’s own ! Play 9 holes of golf from different tees to different greens for the most interesting round of golf ever! Open to all members and their guests in a 4 person scramble that includes a warm up lunch, shotgun start and a roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings and entertainment following dinner. Price as follows – Members w cart membership $25.00, Members w/out cart membership $35.00, Member guests $45.00. Please sign up in the Pro Shop

Exciting News Regarding London Golf Trail  After an incredible inaugural year we are thrilled to announce that the London Golf Trail will be adding many new courses for the 2013 season to enhance an already incredible experience ! Tee times will now be available thru September starting at 7 a.m. and beginning October 1st we will switch to 8 am for tee times. Also, effective September 14, 2012 and for the remainder of the season we will be switching to our fall rates

As we enter our fall season it is never too early to think about the melting of the snow and our 2013 season, and to show our appreciation we have a few early bird specials for those of you wanting to take advantage or our 2013 early bird registrations complete with Payment Plans for those of you wishing to renew your membership. Also for anyone interested in purchasing their 2013 membership now, you will also play out the remainder of the 2012 season for free.

Please note – to serve you better, we ask that all members book tee times when possible. All players, including members, must register in the club house before starting their round of golf.
