ClubLink Celebrates 20th Anniversary With New Membership Programming
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ClubLink REINVENTS GOLF CLUB MEMBERSHIP YET AGAIN
King City, Ont. (Oct. 25, 2012) – ClubLink, Canada’s largest owner and operator of golf clubs, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2013 with progressive new membership programming.
When ClubLink was founded in 1993 with four clubs in the Greater Toronto Area, its unique concept of reciprocal play was unheard of in the golf industry. When a member joined one ClubLink club, they were entitled to reciprocal access to all clubs in the ClubLink network. Twenty years later, ClubLink has more than 53 championship courses at 44 locations in Ontario, Quebec, and Florida.
“In light of our 20th anniversary, it was time to move the needle forward yet again,” said ClubLink President and CEO Rai Sahi. “The plan we developed answers a fundamental question: How do we continue to expand the ClubLink advantage for our members, particularly families, younger golfers, and seniors?”
Those three groups are targeted under the new membership programming.
Members of all Prestige and Platinum member clubs now are entitled to a complimentary Family Twilight Membership for their spouse and children 15 years of age or younger. (Children under 12 have access to academy courses only.) This Family Twilight Membership provides the member’s spouse and eligible children access to golf at their home club or any academy course one hour after the start of twilight time. Clubhouse dining is accessible at any time and at any location.
Members of Prestige member clubs now are entitled to a complimentary 2nd Home Club Membership at one of ClubLink’s Muskoka locations (The Lake Joseph Club, Grandview Golf Club, Rocky Crest Golf Club) or Le Maître de Mont-Tremblant.
ClubLink now offers graduated annual dues and food-and-beverage minimum pricing for members through age 35 (up from age 30), with interest-free financing of membership fees for up to 15 annual installments.
To recognize members age 70 and over with at least 10 years of membership, ClubLink now offers a five-per-cent discount on annual dues and food-and-beverage minimums and an additional five-per-cent discount on both for every year the member is over 70, to a maximum of 50 per cent.
These new programs are effective as of the 2013 season. Certain restrictions and eligibility requirements apply.
In addition to reciprocal play, a ClubLink membership offers many benefits unavailable with a traditional private club membership. Details are available at www.clublink.ca.
“We understand that our Members expect the finest amenities and service and to continue to increase value,” Sahi said. “Our new initiatives expand the flexibility that has made a ClubLink membership such a unique value proposition during the past 20 years.”
