2012 Canadian Tour Player Survey Unveiled
2012 CANADIAN TOUR PLAYER SURVEY
(October 2, 2012 – Oakville, ON) – The players have spoken and the 2012 Canadian Tour Player Survey results are in.
The Canadian Tour recently conducted a survey of its players to see what they thought of the courses, cities and tournaments visited over the course of the 2012 season. The results are as follows:
Golf Courses: The first question saw a majority of players identify Uplands Golf Club in Victoria, BC as their Favourite Course Played on tour in 2012, followed by the newly renovated Roseland Golf & Curling Club and Scarboro Golf & Country Club, which both garnered an equal share of the second place vote. Uplands was also named the Best Conditioned Course according to the players, followed by Scarboro Golf & Country Club. The Best Greens category saw Uplands make it a triple crown, once again followed by Scarboro.
Staff, Tournaments & Volunteers: The Friendliest Staff according to the players went to Pine Ridge Golf Club in Winnipeg, followed by Windermere Golf & Country Club in Edmonton. Scarboro Golf & Country Club was able to take top honours in the Best Food category, followed by Pine Ridge. There was a tie in the Best Volunteers category, with the Times Colonist Island Savings open and the ATB Financial Classic presented by TELUS sharing the distinction.
Cities: Victoria, BC was named the Favourite City visited by the players, followed by Saskatoon, SK. Saskatoon’s Sheraton Cavalier, the host of the Dakota Dunes Casino Open, was named the Favourite Hotel, followed by the Holiday Inn Express in Windsor, ON.
Players were also asked to select who they would select as Player of the Year. Order of Merit winner Matt Hill took home those honours, while Eugene Wong came in a close second.
