Barrie ON July 19th 2011) Another successful Ontario PGA Championship came to a conclusion on Tuesday with one of the tournament favorites Brian McCann walking away with this year's title.
McCann, who led after round one with a 5 under par 67; fought off a surging Andy Holborn who went out early on day two and posted a 7 under 65 , and Jim Kenesky who was paired with McCann on the final day who stayed with Brian most of the day constantly applying the pressure.
At the end of the day, McCann was able to exercise the demons of a loss earlier this year at the National Championship and join a list of winners that include Ben Kern, Moe Norman, and Gar Hamilton.
Congratulations Brian, well deserved. |
