PGA of Canada and SCOREGolf Form Alliance

The PGA of Canada, the second oldest and third largest professional golf association in the world, and SCOREGolf, Canada’s leading golf media and marketing company, have reached an agreement to form a sales and marketing alliance

(Acton, Ont.) – Two of Canadian golf’s leading organizations have joined forces in an alliance that will reach corporations hoping to leverage the game of golf in this country.

The agreement will allow both the PGA of Canada and SCOREGolf to utilize their strengths to sell sponsorships, media and marketing packages that will enhance the game from coast to coast, and from the grass roots to the highest levels of the sport.

“We believe this is the start of a great sales and marketing partnership for both the PGA of Canada and SCOREGolf,” said Gary Bernard, CEO of the PGA of Canada. “When you combine the history and widespread reach of both the PGA and SCOREGolf in the Canadian golf landscape, the possibilities for corporate Canada to get involved with golf are endless.”

“The PGA of Canada is the lifeblood of the game in this country,” said Kim Locke, president of SCOREGolf. “By utilizing its grass roots reach, tremendous history and innovative programs, we believe we can entice corporate Canada to get involved in the game in a way that will be beneficial to all. We’re proud to be working alongside the men and women who are members of this association who touch golfers each and every day at courses and other facilities.”

Established in 1911, the PGA of Canada is the second oldest and third largest professional golf association in the world. Comprised of more than 3,800 golf professionals from across the country and around the world, the association is leading the charge for golf in Canada.

The association’s five national championships are attracting impressive fields, proving PGA members are world-class professionals—on and off the golf course. The recently revamped PGA of Canada website and PGA TV have garnered much acclaim as well, attracting viewers from around the globe.
