MILTON, ON – Powerchute is turning heads and improving swings as it lands in the hands of thousands of golfers across North America and now it's being launched worldwide.

A swing aid like no other, the Powerchute delivers explosive power through its revolutionary technology while training the body and muscles to promote an improved swing sequence that allows golfers to hit the ball further with little increased effort.

"From the moment my students attach the Powerchute to their driver they fall in love with it," says Nick Starchuk, Director of Instruction at The Academy at Piper's Heath. "It quickly engages the key golf muscle groups and promotes a more powerful body move which keeps the body moving in front of the club - a key to lag and power and increased club head speed."

The Powerchute delivers distance off the tee for avid golfers of all abilities. The Powerchute is simple and subtle enough so that anyone able to swing a golf club can swing Powerchute and see instant results. Of all recreational golfers tested, the average increase of clubhead speed at impact has been four to six miles per hour, which has translated into an average driving increase of 14 to 21 yards!

Technically speaking, the resistance created by Powerchute's patented technology causes a quick lengthening of the fast twitch muscles responsible for initiating the downswing, which is followed by a strong concentric or shortening of the same tissues. As a result, the golfer will swing the club faster through the hitting zone and follow through further than they may have ever experienced because the muscles simply fire faster.

The Powerchute is owned by PowerPro Sports, a Naples, Florida-based company that designs and engineers, training technologies and other products for the sports industry. In partnership with the South Florida PGA, Powerchute was released for sale in South Florida, as a test market in early 2010. The initial launch was beyond all expectations and the company has spent the last 18 months refining the product. It has received a ringing unpaid endorsement by Jack Nicklaus, the greatest golfer of all time.

In June 2011, Canadian businessman Jason Fairfield partnered with PowerPro Sports and together they're now launching the Powerchute worldwide.

"We're just starting to see some Tour players swing the Powerchute on the practice tee decks, so we're hopeful of some significant announcements in the coming months," Fairfield says.

Two junior models of the Powerchute, designed for children ages 4 to 6 and 7 to 10 will be available before the end of 2011. A Pro Powerchute, which creates additional resistance for golfers with higher swing speeds, will be unveiled in the coming months.

With a lifetime warranty, the Powerchute is available to purchase on-line at www.powerchutegolf.com for $139.95 plus HST including shipping or through industry affiliates.
